Obiang, Kouyate, Song, Cabaye.......bye bye Mark Noble & Kevin Nolan
Throw in Amalfitano and Downing, what a midfield we would have.
Lets hope the rumours of Cabaye and Song are true and we see them both in a Hammers shirt next year.

Nolan, no chance of playing Noble at best a place in the squad.

Exciting times ahead.

Nolan maybe but Noble will play a part, especially considering the extra games we will be playing

I don't think his legal wrangling with Lokomotiv is at an end yet.

Bye bye to a player that has just signed a 5 year deal? I wouldn't have thought so. And fwiw, I can't see Song coming back. And you have no idea if Obiang will be any good for us, do you? Apart from that, good post.

5 year deals mean nothing.

Grumpster

Not rumours, Sullivan has said today that we haven't given up on signing him.

There has been something dismally wrong with the midfield ever since BFS took over. We have been continually surrendering the lions share of possession in home matches as well as away games, and half the time appear clueless as to how to pass to each other and construct a move, apart from a direct route one effort or sweeping it out to either full back over and over.

I wouldn't mind seeing a whole new midfield. I think Song might be OK, if he can reproduce his original form for us.

Re: Obiang, Kouyate, Song, Cabaye.......bye bye Mark Noble & Kevin Nolan
Nice one I suppose.

As much as he became disappointing, not sure if that was because the majority of the team became stale and I sort of sensed he wasn't exactly a fan of BFS either. Not good for the morale occasionally getting dropped for Nolan ;o)

£8 million for Song would be good value.

Yes, he had a woeful 2nd half to the season but would you want to play under OAF!

If he can get anywhere near his form when he first signed and we have a real player on our hands and he's still only 27.

All going well we will qualify for Europe and take the cups seriously, so we need a big squad this year.

Competition for places is only a good thing right.

Every year we sign a new midfielder and every year some PUTZ tells us Noble's days are numbered.

Don't be fucking stupid. if Bilic doesn't fancy him and we get no offers for him or he won't leave then we have to pay his lofty wages for 5 years.

There's nothing wrong with Noble. I think he gets stale at times during the season and should be rested. He lacks pace, but is probably technically the best of the lot.

Nolan can fuck off but I would keep Noble as a squad player with the possible amount of fixtures we might be involved in next season.

fraser - Yep.

Downing was one, no matter how woeful he was he was guaranteed to start the next game. Real Sunday morning stuff.
